People come up to me and ask all sorts of weird, senseless, unimportant questions and baseless myths rather than actually putting that effort in improving their nutrition & training. What will happen when you quit working out? what will happen when you quit taking supplements? " Like WTF? Once you start lifting weights, you are doomed to continue, or face terrible consequences. A person who stops lifting will become even smaller and weaker than someone who has never touched a weight! You will eventually begin to look like Kate Moss, and sound like Pee-Wee Herman. Your testicles will fall off, and you will become so weak, you will hardly be able to get out of bed, or lift a donut to your mouth. Your skin will droop and hang like curtains without the muscle to hold it up. You will be slouching and walking like Steve Urkel, and women will flee from you in terror. Money will mysteriously evaporate from your pocket, and you will become impotent, senile and develop hemorrhoids. Seriously guys?! No,that wont happen! Now What's gonna happen is that You slowly lose muscle, and depending on your diet, gain some fat or not. Either way, you get softer. If you're built well, it will last longer, and even after years you're likely to look better than someone who hasn't lifted. Muscle memory will bring it back quicker than those who never lifted, however. Too many of you ponder over such questions that wont ever matter. What is gonna matter is that you show up at the gym with consistent hard work.do some research and cover the basics first. So get your butt to the gym before it's too late! Don't be a quitter, 'cause quitters always excuse and lose! The last thing on my mind is to stop working out - Id probably fade in to oblivion! - #Helmut Strebl #Motivation
The more lean tissue you have on your body, and the more active your muscle tissue becomes, the higher your metabolism is. When you lose weight, up to 25% of the loss may come from muscle, resulting in a slower metabolism. Weight lifting will help preserve or rebuild any muscle you lose through dieting. Weight training improves your body's muscle-to-fat ratio (you end up with less body fat and more muscle), which improves both your health and your fitness level. Most common mistake: focusing on losing weight, rather than body fat. Muscle, because it is much denser than fat, takes up less space on your body. So think about “reshaping” your body, rather than shrinking it. This will leave you lean, rather than just skinny and soft.
Life is hard, it chews you up, spits you, it even shits on you for good measure. The doubts. The voices in your head. Getting up every morning in the dark... The monotony, all fucking day and night. Living in the shadow 24/7 can really fuck with you. So why do you do it? Fame? Glory? Getting some ass? That's just the icing... You do it because you got something to prove to yourself. This life, this trip, this journey... It's about enlightenment, It's about looking destiny square in the eye! #SavageLife #Journey #WorkFuckinHarder #Destiny
Everyday we step in the gym there are mirrors all around us. Maybe you stare into them to pose or even use them to look into your eyes before another gruelling set, trying to light that fire under your ass. When you train, you do it for yourself, not for anyone else. Do you think your wife really cares that you just gutted out 30 gruelling sets for legs and can barely walk? Fuck no, she only cares if the garbage got taken out that day. I have learned that in this sport the only person you have to prove anything to is yourself. If you cheat any which way, whether it be your diet or your training, you're only cheating the man that stares back at you in the glass. #HelmutStrebl #GettingItDone #WorkFuckinHarder
Life of a trainer/coach who works at it full time. 1. You will have to schedule meals 2. You will have to make time to lift or train 3. Your personal goals will be attainable but the most important goals are of those who pay you 4. You need to be on point with your business at all times. Bad days do not matter, suck it up and perform 5. You will work early mornings. You will work some late nights 6. You have to hustle, learn, adapt, stay relevant, and ensure you can last into your older years as a coach and not live off your past. Boris Sheiko isn't a young man at all and still is one of the most respected coaches in the world. That didn't come by him posting lifting videos he did, that came by him being fucking good at what he does. 7. You will work tired and any time off by you has to be managed and accounted for. When I was going in for my ablation I had to sit in my hospital room writing workouts for client sessions I had to miss. Even though you're not there, you're still the coach. 8. The job isn't easy and too many people get into this thinking the doors will open wide for you and you can live this lifestyle of a gym rat. Dealing with different personalities all day isn't easy and it can be exhausting if you aren't equipped to handle that. It took me a long time to be able to relate to a wide variety of learning styles, it will take you years as well. 9. Overnight successes are a rarity. Most of us aren't that lucky or well connected to enter this business running. Be prepared to be broke for a while and work your ass off. But guess what? Working your ass off is something you better get used to. #helmutstrebl #athlete #bodybuilding #motivation #competition #goals #shreddedAF Want results? Let me coach you and watch yourself transform!
